
Sandella’s Flatbread Café offers qualified applicants the chance to become a development agent (“DA”) within a defined geographic area (the “Development Area”). The program is similar to a “master franchise” program.
Development Agents typically purchase the rights to develop and own an exclusive territory (typically a major market or region), and then sell portions of this territory to new franchisees. As a DA you must own and operate at least one Café which will be located within the Development Area, and will be used for training your sub-franchisees. Some Development Agents choose to expand via a mix of sub-franchised locations and corporate stores owned by the DA business group.
Sandella’s Flatbread Café Development Agents will receive 50% of the initial fees paid by each franchisee located within the DA's Development Area and will receive a percentage of the royalty paid to us by each franchisee located within the DA's Development Area.
Most Development Agents are drawn to the potential for significant financial gains in a business with low overhead and few employees needed. However, that is not the only reason to investigate this opportunity— development agents enjoy the benefits of an improved quality of life by owning their own business with exclusive territory rights, and the opportunity to grow as quickly as they want leveraging the capital and full time management of their sub-franchisees.
Sandella’s Flatbread Café provides our Development Agents with ongoing innovations, business expertise, training and operating guidance, rights to use proprietary brand names and trademarks, technology and purchasing advice, and other business building support effectively making you a mini-franchisor.
A DA will have the following responsibilities: (i) pre-screen and pre-qualify prospective franchisees and advertise locally for new franchisees; (ii) provide initial and ongoing training, re-training and support for the franchisees located within the DA's Development Area; and (iii) assist us in monitoring the progress and performance of each franchisee operating within the Development Area. All franchisees pre-qualified by the DA must still receive final approval from us. You will also provide certain training, marketing, real estate, and purchasing support. You will act as an ongoing business coach to your franchisees to help them succeed, and in turn grow the value of your business and royalty stream.
Sandella’s Flatbread will award Development Agent territories to experienced and capitalized groups who want to share with the franchisor at a local or regional level in the franchise fees, royalties, and roles and responsibilities of building and managing a territory.
