West Redding, CT, August 27, 2008— Sandella’s Flatbread Café signed a multi-unit deal with John Laux that will bring three new locations to Grand Rapids, Michigan. Sandella’s Flatbread Café is the largest and fastest growing flatbread concept in the world with over 125 restaurants open and 400 new franchise restaurants in development across the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
“The health conscious menu was exactly what I was looking for,” says Laux. “Sandella’s fits my lifestyle perfectly and I am excited to bring such a healthy, high quality restaurant to Grand Rapids.”
Laux spent 14 years as a contractor before pursuing the restaurant industry. He hopes to open his first restaurant no later than March and is in the midst of searching for the perfect real estate in the Grand Rapids area. His current areas of focus are East Grand Rapids, 28th Street, Rockford, Grandville, and Ada.
Sandella’s Flatbread Café incorporates the hottest trends in the fast casual segment, offering consumers fresh, hot and healthy menu items such as grilled paninis, sandwiches, grilled flatbreads, chopped salads and quesadillas—all made with their own brick-oven flatbread that is low calorie and fat free. Already ahead of its time, Sandella’s is trans-fat free and listed in the Weight Watchers Points Guide.
Restaurants average 1,000-1,500 square feet and seat 30 to 40 guests.
